Blondshell has shared new single ‘Fur Elise’.

The American songwriter – real name Sabrina Teitelbaum – is working towards her new album, with ‘Violins’ set to be released through Partisan Records on September 25th.

New single ‘Fur Elise’ is out now, and the deft arrangement – one that alludes to the titular classical piano piece – shows Blondshell’s blossoming confidence in her art.

Lyrically, she ties the different aspects together with the metaphor of walking down the aisle – but you’re not sure what’s waiting for you at the other end, with the music not matching the reality of the situation.

A beautiful fever dream of a song, the production from collaborator Yves Rothman lifts Blondshell’s voice to the heavens.

She says of the song:

“You’re trying to figure out what you want your life to look like, and what you want playing at your wedding, but you don’t even know where to start. You’re picking the wrong song.”
