MUMBAI (Metro Rail News): The Mumbai Metro Line 5 is progressing steadily as its technical and operational hub, the Kasheli Depot has achieved 23% overall physical progress.

Situated near Kasheli Toll Plaza, the Kasheli Depot is designed to accommodate around 30 trainsets, including inspection bays, workshop lines, a test track, a Depot Control Centre, administrative facilities, staff quarters, utility infrastructure and advanced maintenance systems. It is being constructed to support seamless operations, maintenance and stabling requirements of the 32 km Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan-Ulhasnagar Metro corridor.
