Hi, am new to the group and sort of new to New Zealand. I'm a Brit but have a kiwi wife, she moved to the UK in 2011. Last year I obtained a residency visa and we are currently in NZ for a 13 month visit. We are 65 and retired in April. I can start receiving my UK pension in July 2027. I'm posting this question because I don't understand when or if I'm regarded as an NZ resident, does this happen when you commit to home ownership or is there some other rule that applies. I'm just a bit nervous about losing my UK pension or having it fixed without my knowledge. Hope this makes sense. Thanks
