Daniel Hauck is a PhD candidate in law at the University of Hagen. He is a fully qualified lawyer in Germany. Daniel is particularly interested in European law, constitutional law, and the protection of fundamental rights in digital contexts. Among other areas of expertise, he has contributed research on the GDPR, the AI Act, as well as the DSA. Daniel has been gaining practical experience working for governmental agencies, law firms, and non-profit organizations.

Currently, Daniel is conducting research on content moderation and how online platforms exercise power and impose censorship.
