Marta Kwiatkowska and Sir Nigel Shadbolt were participants at ‘Meeting Minds’ conference, a successful Alumni event held in Tokyo and attended by 500 people. The session they were involved in was entitled ‘Safe in their Hands? Trust and Safety in Healthcare Robotics’. Sir Nigel moderated a discussion between Marta and Nuffield Professor of Surgery, Freddie Hamdy, exploring exciting developments in robotics and how to make that progress safe, the role of trust, and what the future of medicine will look like.
