Nashville studio veteran Kris Donegan was at Nashville’s East Iris Studios earlier this summer when PG’s John Bohlinger stopped in to check out all the gorgeous vintage gear that Donegan uses to make the magic happen. The Duesenberg MultiBender gives a very convincing impression of a proper slide guitar. A Strymon Zuma and a pair of Strymon Ojais handle power needs.

Slip Sliding Away
Donegan built this chopped-up, DIY slide guitar himself, using a Strat as a host instrument. The Duesenberg MultiBender gives a very convincing impression of a proper slide guitar. This, and all of Donegan’s guitars, take D’Addario strings.
Bukovac’s Beauty
This 1958 Gibson ES-335, an early model with an unbound neck, 3-ply thin top, and a super-low neck angle, was previously owned by Tom Bukovac.
