Following a warm and sunny Sunday and Monday, Steamboat Springs is looking toward a potentially warmer week with possible shower chances on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to local meteorologist Mike Weissbluth’s twice-weekly forecast. 

Last week’s weather in town was slightly wet, he wrote, from rainfall on Wednesday night amounting to 7 tenths of an inch, to a “cloudburst” over Mount Werner on Saturday afternoon that brought 2 tenths of an inch near the base and a tenth downtown. 

Tuesday will see a small chance of late-day showers, with higher chances Wednesday, Weissbluth added. Thursday and Friday, by contrast, are likely to be dry, with highs forecast in the upper-80s. 

Next weekend could see the return of shower chances and cooler temperatures, but projections currently remain uncertain, wrote Weissbluth.
