After teasing the smartphone over the past few days, vivo has officially confirmed the launch of the vivo T5 Lite 44W in India on 16th July at 12 PM. Positioned as an affordable 5G smartphone, the device focuses on long battery life, durability, AI-powered productivity features, and a smooth display experience.

The vivo T5 Lite 5G will be the company’s latest budget 5G smartphone under the vivo T series. The device will succeed last year’s vivo T4 Lite 5G, bringing notable upgrades in battery capacity and charging while retaining the series’ focus on affordable 5G connectivity.

The biggest highlight of the vivo T5 Lite 44W is that it will pack a 6,500 mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge support. Compared to its predecessor, this marks a significant upgrade from the 6,000 mAh battery and 15W charging, promising longer battery life and considerably faster charging speeds.

Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, bringing 5G connectivity alongside efficient everyday performance for multitasking, streaming, and social media usage.

On the front, the device features a 120 Hz display with a peak brightness of 1200 nits, offering smoother scrolling, animations, and improved outdoor visibility under bright sunlight.

vivo has also focused on durability, with the T5 Lite 44W featuring military-grade durability certification alongside an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, providing protection against dust ingress and water splashes. Earlier teasers reveal a redesigned rear camera module with a vertically aligned camera layout, while the top frame appears to feature a speaker vent.

The smartphone runs OriginOS 6, introducing several AI-powered productivity tools, including:

• AI Creation for content generation
• AI Documents for document management
• AI Captions for real-time subtitle generation
• Transcript Assist for speech-to-text conversion
• Private Space for securely storing sensitive files and personal data

The vivo T5 Lite 44W will launch in India on 16th July 2026 at 12 PM. Following the announcement, it will be available through Flipkart, the vivo India online store, and authorized offline retail stores across the country. Pricing and complete specifications are expected to be revealed at launch.
