APA Secretary General, Dr. Majidi cabled a message of congratulation to Mrs. Anda Filip who was recently elected as the new IPU Secretary General during the 152nd IPU Assembly held in Istanbul, Turkiye from 15-19 April 2026.
Mrs. Anda Filip, a female diplomat from Romania, is the first woman elected to this important post in IPU. She is the 9th IPU Secretary General and will succeed Mr. Martin Chungong the outgoing Secretary General from Cameroon, whose term of office ends on 30 June 2026.
