It is with profound sorrow and deepest sadness that the APA Secretariat announces the passing of our dear colleague, Mr. Mehdi Ghashghavi, who served with dedication and commitment as the Executive Deputy of the APA Secretariat for several years.
Mr. Ghashghavi’s sincere cooperation and contributions with the APA Secretariat will always be remembered. His passing is, indeed, a great loss to the APA family and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with him
On behalf of the APA Secretariat we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and loved ones during this difficult time.
We pray to Almighty God to grant eternal peace to his soul, bestow His mercy upon him and give strength, patience and comfort to his bereaved family. 
May his soul rest in peace.
