Mechanical Engineering Division of Rosatom - JSC “Atomenergomash” and a large manufacturer of marine equipment - MOTORTECH CONSULTING (Croatia) signed Memorandum of strategic cooperation on May 15, 2018 within the framework of the 10th International Forum “Atomexpo” in Sochi.

The memorandum is aimed at the development of cooperation in design and manufacture of equipment for construction of marine vessels. In particular, the Memorandum provides for the possibility of localizing the production of certain types of marine equipment in the territory of Russia. The range of such products can include emergency/parking modules of generating plants, hybrid electric marine propulsion plants, diesel generators, and more.

"We expect that this Memorandum will allow both parties to broaden their competence in the shipbuilding industry and offer our partners and customers new technical solutions that ensure reliable and economical operation of sea transport," said Alexander Rantsev, First Deputy CEO for Nuclear Power Industry and New Businesses,  Atomenergomash.

For the development of cooperation the companies plan to analyze the equipment used in the construction of ships and vessels, prepare and implement programs of replacement and retrofit of such equipment, exchange information, prepare joint proposals for potential and existing customers in Russia and other countries.
