Within the framework of the current Memorandum of understanding between Atomenergomash JSC, СNIITMASH NGO JSC and Taprogge GmbH (Germany), a contract was signed for the supply of equipment for cooling water supply systems to the condensers of the Akkuyu NPP turbine.

According to the terms of the contract Taprogge GmbH will develop and deliver the appropriate equipment sets for the four units of the station, and CNIITMASH JSC will ensure the integration of units and components manufactured by the German company as part of the project to localize production in the Russian Federation. The equipment manufactured under the contract will fully meet the requirements of European standards.

Atomenergomash JSC is a complete supplier of reactor plant and machine room equipment for all four Akkuyu NPP units. The companies of the division produce reactors, steam generators, pumping, heat exchange and other equipment that will ensure reliable and safe operation of nuclear power plants during the entire lifetime. The division also currently produces reactor equipment for nuclear power plants in India, Bangladesh, China, Russia, and other countries.  

Akkuyu NPP is the first nuclear power plant under construction in the Republic of Turkey. The project includes four power units with Russian-designed VVER generation 3+ reactors. The capacity of each power unit will be 1200 MW. The project is fully funded by the Russian side. The construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant is the first project in the global nuclear industry, implemented using the Build-Own-Operate model
