Wes Nelson has revealed he will spend New Year's Eve undergoing surgery in hospital after suffering a painful injury.
The Love Island star, 27, revealed last week on Instagram that he has torn his Achilles tendon while playing football.
Now, in a new update the reality star turned singer revealed he will go under the knife on Wednesday where a surgeon will 'reattach' the tendon.
Sharing a photo of himself sat on a hospital bed with his leg bandagaed up, he penned: 'Update. Looks like I'm getting an operation on New Year's Eve to reattach my achilles.'
In a second post, Wes wrote: 'On another note, when I was younger I wanted a cast so bad?! I can't be the only one?!'
Wes received medical attention last week where he held his head in his hands and explained how he had managed to snap his Achilles.

The Love Island star, 27, shared a new update on Instagram on Tuesday revealing he will go under the knife on Wednesday where a surgeon will 'reattach' the tendon
He captioned the video: 'Decided to play football for the first time in years and snapped my Achilles.'
In another update, the singer showed off his foot wrapped up in a bandage and joked that his football days were over.
Wes added: 'Nah, the game has absolutely gone. 27-years-old and I'm calling it a day. Golf and golf alone.'
The Achilles tendon is the strong cord at the back of your lower leg, connecting your calf muscles to your heel bone, enabling actions like walking, running, and jumping by allowing you to push off your toes.
Known as the body's thickest tendon, it's crucial for movement but prone to overuse injuries (tendinopathy) causing pain, stiffness, and swelling, or even sudden ruptures, especially in athletes, often treated with rest, physical therapy, or sometimes surgery.
It's been a rough year for Wes, who revealed in October that he had been robbed for the second time this year.
Taking to Instagram the singer explained he has had his golf bag and clubs stolen after falling victim to the crime.
He wrote: 'My full golf bag/clubs etc have been stolen. I actually hate what London has become. Twice in a year. Cheers.'

Wes, who rose to fame after starring on the ITV2 reality show back in summer 2018, was robbed earlier this year after his designer £8,570 Louis Vuitton bag was stolen from a train in January.
The star claimed it only took a 'split second' for his belongings to be stolen on his train to Milton Keynes and he was thankful he had removed his laptop from the bag as it had his unreleased music on.
Sharing a picture of a train table at the time, Wes wrote: 'My LV [Louis Vuitton] bag was just stolen on the train just as we stopped at Milton Keynes.
'Had everything important in it. I'm lucky I took my MacBook out before the journey. All my music would have been GONE.'
'Anyway just a heads up, it took a split second to look away and that s**t was gone. Rats everywhere.'
In a second picture, the singer showed off his luggage sat in the overhead rack which he realised had been 'pulled way back' away from him when he was looking down.

Wes explained: 'Just clocked in this pic I sent earlier. The bag has been pulled waaaay back to the seat behind me, the guy must have been slowly sliding it backwards whenever I looked down. Then quickly dipped at the first stop.'
He added: 'You know what's mad, you always think there's no way this s**t gonna happen to me without noticing first. But here we are S**t.
'Also this is the first time I've ever used the overhead storage. Never again.'
Wes later shared a third picture of the colourful landscape patterned luggage that was stolen and offered a reward if it is returned with the items inside.
He wrote: 'I've got a reward for anyone who can get it back with contents.'
