The ultra-private wife of AI giant Anthropic's CEO has a colorful past, including a link to Jeffrey Epstein and a failed porn website. 

Cami Clark, 47, has been vital to the success of her billionaire husband, Dario Amodei, including finding investors for his company and playing a pivotal role in the launch of Anthropic. 

She has now become so private that there is barely any trace of her online. Anthropic's popular chatbot, Claude, does not confirm whether she and Amodei are together. 

But her path to wealth had had many twists in turns, including pitching a women-centered porn site called Eddice to Epstein in 2011, The Wall Street Journal reported. 

She and Eddice cofounder Michelle Capocefalo were introduced to Epstein via John Brockman, a literary agent. Brockman had introduced the famous sex pest to many academics and Silicon Valley elites, Department of Justice documents revealed, although there is no suggestion of impropriety on Clark's park. 

'You should connect for dinner with my girls – Cami and Michelle. They’re in LA raising money for [a] porn movie aimed at [the] women’s market,' Brockman had told Epstein with a link to the pornography site. 

Clark followed up with an email introducing herself and said the cofounders would 'love to have dinner with you.' She also sent him her phone number. 

A week later, she sent him the scripts for her four-part porn series American Girl in Paris, WSJ reported. 

'A little nsfw [not safe for work],' she wrote. 

However, the efforts didn't go anywhere, and a year later, she emailed the now-convicted Epstein again, who didn't remember her. 

'We have the free luxury porn company. Does that ring a bell?' she wrote. 

'Yes, a loud gong,' he replied. 

'Haha, I was going to say, you would be the first person that didn’t remember us,' she said. 

When she asked him to invest in her company, Epstein declined, stating: 'Can't do sex TV.' But that didn't stop Clark from trying to bolster another one of her many failed business ventures, as she pitched him on a 'social dieting app' that was geared toward women. 

The pair would interact for two years, the WSJ reported. 

Clark, a college dropout, would also file for bankruptcy in 2009, two years after a lender foreclosed on her San Francisco apartment. 

Three years later, she started Eddice, which was named after her grandmother. 

Clark also got into an age-age relationship at the age of 20, with her then-husband being more than 40 years older than her. 

She would later go on to date former Google CEO Eric Schmidt for three years from 2011 to 2014. Clark would also get Schmidt, then an ex, to invest in Anthropic. 

Shortly after breaking up, she would go on to date Amodei, whom she would marry in 2022,the WSJ reported. 

She met Amodei while living in a group home in San Francisco, where he, his sister, and their friend Holden Karnofsky lived. 

When she started dating Amodei, he was working at Stanford University School of Medicine, he would eventually move onto Google and OpenAI, which is now Anthropic's main rival. He joined OpenAI in 2016, WSJ reported. 

All while Amodei built his career, he brought Clark along with him, and still does today. She is often seen at events with him as he gives speeches. 

She also helped set up Anthropic when Amodei, his sister, and five others left OpenAI to start the AI company. 

Clark apparently wanted equity in the tech company, according to documents viewed by the WSJ. 

That could be a shrewd move, as it is currently valued at $2 billion, with a stock market debut forecast for later this year.  

In a 40-page document, she pitched to Schmidt to start a new venture fund called the Mother of AGI fund, which would be an 'elegant solution to formalize Cami’s involvement in Anthropic (Dario’s company), manage Eric’s investment.' 

Amodei's sister and other cofounders didn't support the plan and it was dropped, people familiar with the matter told the WSJ. 

By the end of the year, however, Clark became engaged to the Anthropic founder. The pair married in Italy shortly after.
