Qualcomm Technologies and the BMW Group have announced a new multi-year agreement that extends their automotive technology partnership into the next decade. Under the deal, BMW will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis solutions, including Snapdragon Elite automotive SoCs and dedicated AI accelerators, to power the company’s future digital cockpit, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and automated driving (AD) technologies.
The agreement strengthens the long-standing collaboration between the two companies and lays the foundation for BMW’s next-generation software-defined vehicles.

BMW’s upcoming vehicle platforms will be built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis, an integrated automotive computing platform designed to handle multiple vehicle functions through a unified hardware and software architecture.
The platform supports:
By centralising computing resources, the platform enables multiple electronic systems to work together more efficiently while supporting future software updates and AI-driven features.
Powering BMW’s Future VehiclesAs part of the agreement, BMW plans to deploy Qualcomm’s latest automotive silicon across future vehicle lineups over the next ten years.
The partnership aims to provide the computing performance and AI processing required for increasingly complex software-defined vehicles, where multiple vehicle functions are managed by a central computing platform instead of separate electronic control units.
Building On Neue Klasse PlatformThe latest announcement builds on the companies’ previous collaboration, which reached a major milestone with the launch of Snapdragon Ride Pilot in the BMW iX3 during November 2025.
Snapdragon Ride Pilot powers BMW’s Symbiotic Drive system, combining automated driving capabilities with a driver-focused experience that keeps motorists engaged while advanced assistance features operate in the background.
With the new agreement, BMW intends to expand these digital cockpit and automated driving technologies to additional vehicle models and global markets.
Focus On AI-powered MobilityAs automotive software becomes more sophisticated, AI-powered compute platforms are playing a larger role in delivering intelligent infotainment, advanced safety systems, and autonomous driving capabilities.
Through this extended partnership, Qualcomm and BMW aim to accelerate the development of next-generation connected vehicles built around high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.
