Physical AI company Xiilab said August 14 that its revenue for the first half of the year rose 108% to 3.13 billion won from 1.5 billion won a year earlier, driven by balanced growth across its major business segments.

Revenue from the AI infrastructure business rose 187% to 2.04 billion won, leading the growth. The Vision AI business posted revenue of 340 million won, up 49%, while the Digital Twin business generated 750 million won, an increase of 33%.

Operating loss for the period was 4.6 billion won. Xiilab said investment costs increased as it secured next-generation graphics processing unit (GPU) infrastructure technologies, upgraded products and expanded its pool of specialized personnel. The company plans to use the specialists hired in the first half to actively pursue the construction and operation of next-generation AI data centers (AIDCs).

Xiilab also highlighted its order backlog of 3.2 billion won at the end of the second quarter, up 24% from 2.6 billion won a year earlier, saying it had laid the groundwork for higher revenue in the second half.

A key second-quarter result in the AI infrastructure business was winning a government GPU procurement project for the National Information Resources Service worth about 2.1 billion won. Xiilab also cited obtaining NVIDIA’s Elite Partner status and launching AstraGo 2.1, which uses GPU partitioning technology to integrate training and inference operations within a single cluster, as major business achievements.

In the Vision AI business, Xiilab’s industrial safety AI solution XAIVA Safety obtained a Grade 1 Good Software (GS) certification, following its Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) Intelligent CCTV performance certification in the fire-detection category. The company is expanding supplies, mainly in the manufacturing and construction sectors, in response to growing demand for major-accident prevention and industrial-site safety management, and plans to diversify its applications into defense, government administration and public facilities.

For its Digital Twin business, Xiilab said it has expanded the application of digital twin projects based on NVIDIA Omniverse for four consecutive years.
