Rockstar Games will debut an "extended look" at Grand Theft Auto 6 on August 27 at 3 PM ET on Netflix, with a free YouTube release at 9 PM ET, according to IGN.
The six-hour Netflix exclusivity window has drawn criticism from fans who object to the reveal being behind a Netflix subscription. This move has generated a second wave of backlash against GTA 6's rollout, following earlier complaints about the disc-free release and pricing.

IGN suggests Rockstar and Netflix likely partnered after the streamer helped release Red Dead Redemption and the remastered GTA trilogy through its service, making those games accessible to people who may not own a console or PC.
IGN also raises concern about whether Netflix can handle demand, noting the service has a history of crashing during highly anticipated premieres and live sporting events. Whether Netflix is prepared for millions of viewers accessing the GTA 6 look at once remains an open question.
