JERUSALEM (VINnews)-Israel Defense Forces Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir on Monday led an operational forum with senior IDF commanders, emphasizing that the military’s gains across multiple fronts stem primarily from the efforts of troops and officers on the ground, at sea, in the air, and in support roles.

The forum, which included operational commanders at the rank of lieutenant colonel and above, featured a multi-front operational and intelligence assessment along with discussions on the continuation of operations. Commanders presented case studies, reviewed developments in the fighting, and shared lessons learned from activity in all arenas.

Zamir also hosted U.S. Central Command Commander Adm. Brad Cooper. Cooper reviewed the deep strategic partnership between the IDF and the U.S. military, describing it as historic and built on trust, commitment, and close cooperation. He said the alliance has repeatedly proven itself during operations and remains a significant factor in regional security and stability.

Zamir thanked Cooper for the cooperation and presented him with a token of appreciation. He described the partnership as unprecedented and a strategic anchor for Israel.

In his remarks, Zamir said the IDF is at a strategic crossroads amid a prolonged, multi-front campaign.

“Diplomatic negotiations are currently underway across all of the main arenas — all of these are the result of the IDF’s historic achievements,” Zamir said. “We must ensure that we fully capitalize on and maximize the achievements of the operations. We are well prepared in defense, while maintaining immediate readiness and preparedness to return to high-intensity combat.”

He credited the troops directly: “The achievements we have achieved across all arenas are first and foremost your achievements — the commanders and troops on land, at sea, and in the air, and the personnel in intelligence, communications, logistics, and administration — together, you led the IDF to significant achievements and changed the security reality.”

Zamir described the IDF as a fighting force implementing a systematic operational plan for victory and said the military has proven itself a victorious force with a spirit of strength since the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre.

He noted that the IDF remains in an interim period, vigilant and prepared for all challenges while keeping its ranks united. Alongside efforts to allow troops time to recuperate, he stressed the need to maintain high readiness for a rapid return to high-intensity combat, respond quickly to developments, and continue defending civilians.

“Our challenge now is not only to preserve our achievements, but to continue shaping the reality, build our capabilities, and ensure that the IDF is prepared for every scenario,” Zamir said.
