WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews)-Vice President JD Vance on Wednesday praised outgoing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt as “one of the most effective voices” defending President Donald Trump’s agenda, crediting her with facing relentless media scrutiny during her tenure.

Vance highlighted the challenges of the high-profile role while raising a young family. He said he is “sad to see her go, but I know she’ll continue to do great things.”

“Karoline Leavitt has one of the hardest jobs in the Administration — dealing with the relentless attacks from the fake news media. She did the job with grace, wit and a smile on her face,” Vance said.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio also issued a farewell message ahead of Leavitt’s departure from the Trump administration to focus on her young children and family. Rubio said Leavitt played a “pivotal role” in the administration’s “historic accomplishments.”

“Wishing her and her family nothing but the best in their next chapter!” Rubio said.
