One in critical condition after shooting in East Hartford

One person is in critical condition after a shooting on Hillside Street on Monday night.
Officers arrived at the incident around 10:50 p.m. The male victim sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, according to police.
Police said they are not releasing further details including names at this time to preserve the integrity of the investigation.
The Criminal Investigations Bureau is investigating the incident.
