Get ready to explore, create and discover! Our Discovery Day offers a fantastic programme of hands-on activities for children and families, giving everyone the chance to try new experiences and take part in exciting activities.

Tours of the Anne H Cruickshank Observatory

The Anne H Cruickshank Observatory (ACO) is the Department's new astronomical observatory. Construction was completed in May 2026 within the grounds of the Cruickshank Botanic Garden and the observatory will be officially opened later in 2026.

As part of Explorathon, the Physics Department will be running hourly tours of the new facility.
