A US-backed plan for Gaza remains the “only way forward” to prevent a repeat of Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack, a senior official overseeing the proposal said Sunday. The comments came after Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the 15-point plan for Gaza and stressed that the Israeli military would not withdraw from the Palestinian territory until Hamas is "genuinely" disarmed. Meanwhile in Iran, the Revolutionary Guards said the Strait of Hormuz would not be reopened until the US accepts Tehran's conditions.
