BTS' V and Jungkook have given fans a candid look at the physical challenges they have been dealing with while continuing to perform on the group's ongoing Arirang World Tour.

During a recent Weverse live broadcast, the two BTS singers opened up about health problems that have largely remained private, leaving ARMY concerned about how they are managing the demanding concert schedule.

V, whose real name is Kim Taehyung, revealed that he has been experiencing worsening hearing in one ear for around two and a half years. Jungkook, meanwhile, spoke about a painful shin injury that he said is close to developing into a stress fracture.

The revelations came as BTS continues its packed international touring schedule, with both members making it clear that they are doing their best to stay on stage despite their respective health struggles.

V's Hearing Has Worsened Over Two Years?

During the live broadcast, V surprised fans by revealing that his hearing has gradually deteriorated over the past several years.

Speaking openly about the issue, he said, "I've never told ARMYs about this, but it's been like two and a half years? My hearing's gotten worse," admitting that this was something he had never previously discussed with fans.

Jungkook then asked whether V had recently visited a hospital and if his condition had improved. V explained that there was a significant difference between what he could hear through his two ears.

"Maybe after a month? Like, if I can hear 100 over here, I can only hear about 30 over here," he added.

The stark comparison immediately highlighted how much the problem has affected his hearing.

Problem Became Worse During Military Service

V also recalled experiencing a worsening of the condition during his military service. At the time, he said the environment around him emphasized physical and mental toughness, which eventually led him to convince himself that he simply needed to endure the problem.

"Actually, when it got worse during my military service, everyone there was really into working out, so they'd say things like, 'It's all about mental strength.' I ended up kind of convincing myself that it was a mental-strength issue," the singer revealed.

His admission offered fans some insight into why he may have kept the issue private for such a long period.

Jungkook appeared concerned by his bandmate's explanation and urged him not to simply try to overcome a health problem through willpower.

"That won't do."

V, however, reassured fans that he is now taking steps to manage the condition. He said he is taking his medication regularly and continuing to visit the hospital.

"Right, I am doing my absolute best," he said.

While V did not provide a specific diagnosis during the broadcast, his comments indicated that he is actively receiving medical care and monitoring the problem.

Jungkook Opens Up About Painful Shin Injury

Jungkook also revealed that he has been struggling with a serious injury of his own while performing on the tour.

The singer explained that he has been experiencing considerable pain around his shin and said the injury is currently close to becoming a stress fracture.

"We are currently continuing to perform, but my shin area is, well, in a state where it is right on the verge of getting a stress fracture," he revealed.

For a performer known for his energetic choreography and physically demanding performances, the injury has understandably become a major challenge.

Jungkook admitted that he sometimes has to restrain himself on stage despite wanting to perform at his usual intensity.

"On stage—honestly, even today, in my heart I really wanted to keep running and jumping, but it hurt so much in between that I couldn't. That is why... yes, I hope you can understand this part," he added.

The comment appeared to be particularly difficult for the singer, who is accustomed to giving his all during BTS performances.

Packed Tour Making Recovery Difficult

Jungkook further explained that his busy touring schedule has made it difficult to give the injury the amount of rest it needs.

With BTS performing one concert after another across multiple cities, taking sufficient time away from physical activity has not been easy.

"I also want to recover quickly, but because we have continuous shows, it is impossible for it to heal. So, I will do my best to manage and maintain it well while performing," the singer revealed.

His comments have understandably raised concerns among fans, particularly because continuing to perform with an injury that is reportedly close to a stress fracture could make proper recovery more challenging.

ARMY Reacts With Concern

The revelations quickly prompted an emotional response from BTS fans. Many ARMYs expressed concern about both singers and urged them to prioritize their health while continuing the demanding tour.

V's revelation was particularly surprising because he had apparently been dealing with his hearing problem for around two and a half years without publicly discussing it with fans.

Jungkook's comments, meanwhile, renewed concerns about the physical toll of BTS' performances. The group is known for high-energy choreography and lengthy concerts, making physical injuries an especially important concern during an extended world tour.

BTS recently resumed its Arirang World Tour after a short break. The group returned to the stage on August 1 with two concerts at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The tour then continued through Foxborough, Baltimore, Arlington, Toronto and Chicago throughout August.

With more performances ahead, the health revelations from V and Jung Kook have added a new layer of concern for fans watching the group's return to the global stage.

For now, both singers have indicated that they are doing their best to manage their respective conditions while continuing to perform. But their candid conversation has also reminded ARMY that, behind the spectacular stages and sold-out stadiums, the members are still dealing with very real physical challenges.
