National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) on Monday secured operational licenses and official approval from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health for its clinics and medical outposts established to serve Nigerian pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The Saudi health authority granted the operational licenses for the Nigerian medical teams on Monday to enable them to provide healthcare services to Nigerians participating in the year’s spiritual exercise.

Meanwhile, the commission has disclosed that as part of its healthcare delivery arrangements for the Hajj season, it strategically established the clinics with a to providing primary healthcare services, including medical consultations, first aid, and treatment of minor ailments for Nigerian pilgrims.

According to NAHCON, Nigerian pilgrims requiring specialised or secondary healthcare services during the Hajj period would be referred to accredited Saudi medical facilities within the Kingdom, including King Fahd Hospital and other designated hospitals.

It added that Nigerian pilgrims seeking medical attention at the clinics should present their Nusuk cards and passport at the clinics.

“In line with operational guidelines, pilgrims seeking medical attention at NAHCON clinics are required to present their Nusuk card and international passport for identification and treatment documentation.

“Pilgrims requiring specialised or secondary healthcare services will be referred to accredited Saudi medical facilities, including King Fahd Hospital and other designated hospitals within the Kingdom,” the Hajj commission stated.

NAHCON also confirmed that its Madinah Clinic has been fully operational for the past five days, providing medical support and healthcare services to Nigerian pilgrims currently in the city.

NAHCON informed that the clinics licensed Saudi authorities were NAHCON Clinic, Shara Sittin Area, located at the Hotel Humaira, Umm Al-Qura Street, near old Al-Maatani Petrol Station, Makkah; NAHCON Clinic Misfalah, Al-Tadwa Area, located at the Maatouq Al Qarhi Hotel, behind Millennium Hotel, Ibrahim Khalil Street, Al-Tadwa, Makkah.

The other clinic, according to the commission,was NAHCON Clinic, Mansour Street Area, located at Niger House No. 1, behind Muasasat Alnaqd, Mansour Street, Makkah.

The commission asserted that licensing of its facilities marked not only another significant milestone in its 2026 Hajj operations but also underscored the Commission’s commitment to safeguarding the health, safety, and wellbeing of Nigerian pilgrims throughout their stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
