Chicago’s school board rescinded many layoffs with uncertain money. What’s next? – Chalkbeat Chicago

Дата публикации: 02-08-2026 18:52:31

CPS needs the loan to make up for late county property tax payments. That loan, designed for government bodies facing short-term cash flow needs, would help cover a missing $400 million of $700 million the district needs for operations in September, according to a memo CPS sent board members this week. Experts said the district will probably be able to secure loans in the time frame it needs. But, it’s going to cost the district more in interest.

By ‘uncertain’, DNC/IEA/CTU stenographers Reema Amin and Becky Vevea really meant ‘non-existent’. If this lack of money morphs into unobtainium from JB the Hutt and his fellow Springfield thieves, then what?

Nah, this has been orchestrated and is nothing more that theatre for tax payers. The corrupt state government will of course steal and spend our tax money on this failed school district to pay their owners. Corruption right in your face.
