Inside Neighborhood Wines in Boston. Neighborhood Wines
Wine lovers in Boston can shop and sip at some of the best wine establishments in the nation, according to USA Today readers.
The publication recently released lists of the 10 best wine bars in America and the 10 best wine shops in America, part of its 2026 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and Boston’s Gray’s Hall and Neighborhood Wines both ranked No. 10.
“This cozy South Boston winery pours natural wines, showcasing sustainable finds by small producers,” wrote USA Today about Gray’s Hall.
The wine bar’s name is taken from a civic meeting place that once stood on the site, noted the publication, which is fitting because it is a community-focused spot.
“The food menu changes with the seasons. The talented team serves up an elevated take on classic New England tavern fare, with locally sourced ingredients showcasing the best of the region from both land and sea,” wrote USA Today.
The No. 1 wine bar in America is 1010 Wine & Events in Inglewood, Calif.
Neighborhood Wines focuses on natural wine, wrote the publication, and has a “special, unique, and intimate vibe.”
“Everything about Neighborhood Wines feels intentional, including their monthly subscription offerings, emphasis on sustainability, and dedication to community,” wrote the publication.
The No. 1 wine shop in America is Perry’s Fine Wines & Liquors in Palm Springs, Calif.
For the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards lists, USA Today travel experts select 20 nominees in topics from food to lodging, destinations to things to do. Then the publication asks readers to cast votes to determine the top 10.
