It was Matthew Ward who swam backstroke in Scotland’s Commonwealth bronze medal-winning mixed 4x100m medley relay team, not “Katie Ward” as we misnamed him. And Angharad Evans, not “Kara Hanlon Evans”, swam the breaststroke leg (Jersey boy Nowacki comes of age with swim triumph, 29 July, p42, late editions). Kara Hanlon is a Scottish swimmer who competed in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
