Annotation. The article interpretation of customs service is presented in both the traditional form and with the use of digital transformation. The stages of the evolution of customs services are highlighted and described: paper declaration, electronic declaration and automation, the single window concept and interdepartmental integration, as well as digital platforms in the customs sector. The key technological components of modern platform solutions for providing customs services are justified.
