The tripartite agreement signed on Friday between the United States, Israel and Lebanon is replete with wishful thinking. It begins with the vision of a lasting peace and extends to hopes for a formal end to hostilities, Lebanon's political and economic rehabilitation, and the disarmament of Hezbollah and all other unauthorized groups.
