A TikTok travel pro known for his 24-hour jet-setting adventures divulged his top tips and budget hacks to the Daily Mail for taking mini vacations of your own this summer. 

Kevin Droniak, 28, has garnered more than 700,000 followers across social media platforms for flying to exotic destinations and returning to New York City all in the same day.

With growing fuel costs, budget airlines being slashed and anxiety around summer travel, it feels for many that taking a vacation is becoming impossible. 

But for Droniak, a beach getaway is just 24 hours and less than $300 away.

His push to start traveling for just a day at a time was his grandmother, whom he frequently visits and cares for. 

'If I'm away for too long, she'll get upset at me and she needs my help in some ways,' he said. 'So that was my push to start doing this. And now it's just become something that I just really enjoy doing.'

In the past several years, he's taken dozens of 'extreme day trips,' flying off to India, Switzerland and Ecuador just for the day. 

Droniak exclusively told the Daily Mail his top five tips on how to make the most of your summer travel without breaking the bank.

Amid rising fuel costs and the end of many budget airlines, many travel lovers worry they're being priced out of dream vacations. 

'I think a lot of people are like really just assuming that it's expensive, no matter what, to go anywhere right now because of the fuel prices,' he told the Daily Mail.  

'I have found that they definitely have gone up in average prices, but you're still able to find cheap flights if you know what you're doing.'

Droniak's number one tip for embarking on 24-hour travel is to track flights to bucket list destinations. 

He uses Expedia and Google Flights to explore the cheapest options for when he wants to travel and enables alerts to inform him when the flight goes on sale. 

Typically, he said the best time to book travel is at least two months out. 

'Just in your free time, look at the flights and what is going up and what's going down,' he said. 'I use Expedia's Flight Tracker. You could also use other companies for tracking flights. But that's how you're still able to find those cheap deals.'

Droniak loves to get to far-off destinations as quickly as possible, but finding the most cost-effective way to travel takes patience and a little bit of luck. 

Rather than booking the cheapest round trip to his destination of choice, Droniak patiently finds the cheapest route by exploring options at nearby airports both at home and abroad and doesn't always book a round trip. 

'I'm going to Europe next week and I have to go to Switzerland,' he said. 'So I found an okay deal to go to Switzerland, but then the flights back from Zurich were $1,300 one way.'

Droniak 'played around on Google flights' and managed to book a $300 flight back home to New York, just a train ride away in Paris.

'A good word of advice is to check an airport that's nearby, even if it's a country or two away from where you're flying into,' he said. 'You can get to that airport and make it home cheaper.'

Even when flying from New York, Droniak looks beyond the closest airports. 

'You have to like look up the surrounding airports that you're willing to drive to and see if they have like certain airlines that fly to different places you wouldn't expect,' he said.

The hack also allows travelers to book multiple airlines, based on what might be the cheapest. 

Americans, especially, are experiencing a lot of anxiety around travel, as skyrocketing fuel prices threaten European travel. 

'I think a lot of people are like really just assuming that it's expensive no matter what to go anywhere right now,' he said. 

Droniak encouraged travelers to look beyond the social-media-worthy destinations and stay open to traveling anywhere that fits into the budget. 

For example, while booking his July travel, Droniak noticed that flights to South America were cheaper than usual, while flights to Europe were trending upward.   

'I just booked a trip to Chile in July because I was looking up prices of what's a cheaper place right now,' he said. 'I think it was a $600 round trip to Santiago, and I'm like, okay, that's like my sign to go to Chile.'

He encouraged travelers to be open to the unconventional while they book their summer travel. Especially to places where food and excursion costs are cheap when you arrive. 

'As Americans, we really forget about South America and it's right below us,' he said. 'It's really affordable when you get there as well.'

It can be overwhelming and expensive to narrow down how to spend one whirlwind day at a bucket list destination. 

In the past year, Droniak has learned to avoid the tourist traps and visit local restaurants and stores while seeking out hidden gems.  

'I really try to like, find these like hidden places that are locally owned,' he said.

Droniak uses Atlas Obscura, an app and website that takes travelers off the beaten path for sightseeing. 

'It comes up with all of the hidden gems of that destination,' he said. 'And that's how I find a lot of my like cool, weird, like off the beaten drag places.'

Many of the website's recommendations are free or low-cost, uninflated by constant tourist traffic.

Though food is a necessary expense, finding the local, authentic spots can pay off. 

When Droniak visited Tokyo for the day, he spent just $50 total on multiple meals and snacks. 

If you don't want to overload yourself and your wallet with activities, Droniak's biggest piece of advice is to relax. 

Some of Droniak's cheapest trips have been to beach destinations that allow for stress-free, cost-free relaxation on arrival. 

'Any of those beach destinations are really cheap for the day because you just hang out by the beach and you just get your sun and then you go home,' he said. 'It's vacation for the day.' 

He has advised not to overbook yourself during your short time on the ground. Saving money and stress are crucial. 

You'd be surprised how cheap airfares can be for an island excursion. For most beach destinations, Droniak only paid for taxis, food and airfare.

Among his favorites for less than $300 were Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Miami and the Bahamas.    

'Miami has really good deals from most airports,' Droniak said. He once took a round-trip flight for just $160. 

Earlier this month, he attended the F1 Miami Grand Prix, arriving in the city at 10am and departing again at 8pm.

When he traveled to the Bahamas for the day, Droniak snagged a 7am flight to the Caribbean and a 6pm flight home. Average prices between Nassau and New York can be as low as $200.

'Puerto Rico is definitely the number one cheapest,' Droniak said. His round-trip flight was just $125. He spent $90 on taxis, $50 on his meal and $15 on a souvenir.

Droniak took off at 6am and landed back in New York at 12am. 

For non-New Yorkers who may not live as close to a tropical getaway, Droniak said Chicago is one of the most accessible day trips. 'The public transit is amazing,' he said.

But Droniak said not everything should be a day trip. Some bucket list trips deserve an overnight stay. 

One of his most extreme day trips, all the way to India, left him wishing he had more time. 

'India is one of those places that you just want to experience everything because there's so much to see and eat and do,' he said. 'So when I was there, I was like, "I wish I could stay longer."'

Although he's known for his quick trips, Droniak makes time to soak things in, too. His last full-length vacation was to China in April for six days.  

'I've always wanted to go to China. For my first time, I didn't want it to just be the day,' he said. 'I wanted to actually like soak it up and enjoy.'
