The New York band Billboard Style brings together members of two excellent indie acts, Ben Guterl of the cult-beloved Forth Wanderers and Dan Howard of the exciting upstarts Victoryland. Both groups received Album Of The Week honors from Stereogum within the past year, so obviously we're excited.

Billboard Style will release their debut album Pull Of The Moon in October on the Good English label. The band's eponymous debut single is out now. It's a bashed-out, distortion-shrouded guitar-pop tune with phenomenal hooks. Guterl shared this statement:

This song is about desire and wanting someone so bad it’s like a little parasite that nestles in your brain and rewires your thoughts. It’s about how you always lose a part of yourself in pursuit of someone else and how you might not care because love is intoxicating and maybe that’s the shit life is all about."
