MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. Whenever Vladimir Zelensky speaks publicly or gives numerous interviews, he always talks about himself, while the problems facing the Ukrainian people remain in the background, Yulia Mendel, Zelensky’s former spokeswoman, noted.

"The narrative is still centered around a person who never sleeps, a person who speaks out, a person who suffers, and a person who stays optimistic. Ukraine as a country in the midst of a conflict largely remains in the background," Mendel wrote on her account on X.

She also questioned the veracity of Zelensky’s statements for the media. "I hope the [Ukrainian air defense] crews are aware that he conversed with them," she commented on a remark from Zelensky alleging that he had held night-time conversations with the military.
