MOSCOW, August 12. /TASS/. The fifth-generation Su-57 fighters today have no analogues in the world, and are a key element for the Russian Air Force to achieve air superiority, Air Force Commander and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces Sergey Kobylash has stated.

"A key element for achieving air superiority is the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter, which has no serial-production analogue among modern global aircraft manufacturers," he said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper on the occasion of the 114th anniversary of the Air Force.

Speaking about the Air Force fleet, Kobylash noted that the tasks of aviation support for troop operations are carried out by multirole 4++ generation fighters Su-35S and Su-30SM, as well as Su-34M bombers. He added that strategic deterrence, as well as strikes against critical enemy targets deep in its territory, are ensured by long-range aviation forces, armed with Tu-160, Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 missile carriers and bombers, equipped with both special and conventional long-range precision weapons.

He added that during the special military operation, Russian aviation and aviation munitions "have reached a qualitatively new level, making it possible to effectively engage aerial targets, including cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, and to deliver strikes with precision weapons both on the front line, in the tactical zone, and deep in enemy territory, which previously was accessible for fire engagement only to cruise missiles employed by long-range aviation and the navy."
