NASA Just Parked a Spacecraft 1 Million Miles from Earth, and Almost No One’s Talking About It

By Sarah Jones, Daily GalaxyNASA’s Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) has officially reached the first Sun-Earth Lagrange point (L1) after a three-and-a-half-month journey through space. The spacecraft is now poised to begin its mission: mapping the outermost boundary of the heliosphere, the vast magnetic shield that protects our solar system from galactic radiation.
