The Position

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides enterprise technology services that support ANU’s research, teaching, and public policy activities. The Australian National University is seeking an experienced Change and Communication Lead to support the successful delivery of strategic digital transformation initiatives within the Research Stream. This role will lead change management and communication activities for major research technology projects, including the implementation of a new Research Funding and Grants Management Solution. Working with senior stakeholders, project teams, researchers, academics, and professional staff, the role will develop and deliver change strategies, stakeholder engagement, training, and communication plans to support adoption of new systems and processes. The position will provide strategic advice, manage change impacts, monitor implementation progress, and contribute to continuous improvement of change practices across the University. This is an opportunity to lead high-profile digital transformation initiatives in a complex university environment.

The Person

You are an experienced change and communications professional who can operate effectively in complex environments, build trusted relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels. You bring a strategic and structured approach to managing change, supported by strong communication, analytical, and project management capabilities. You will have demonstrated experience delivering change initiatives, providing strategic advice, analysing complex information, and developing practical solutions. With highly developed interpersonal skills, you can collaborate, negotiate, coach, and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. You will also demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunity principles and their application within a university environment.
