Harry Potter fans will be treated to a major light show this summer that brings many iconic images from the wizarding world into the sky. The DroneArt Show is set to host its Ultimate Magical Drone Spectacle across three dates in Manchester, providing plenty of opportunities to watch over 1,000 drones bring the world of Harry Potter to life.
The show is set to take place at Haydock Park Racecourse on August 20, 21, and 22, and will last roughly one hour each. However, families hoping to visit will be treated to much more than just a stunning light show, with the event also featuring live music, including the soundtrack from the Harry Potter film series, creating a 'multi-sensory' experience.
Featuring 1,200 drones, attendees will be able to relive some of the 'most memorable and iconic moments' from the film franchise. Better yet, with no strict age requirement, it's an event that can be enjoyed by all family members for a full evening out.

The show is part of a global tour across the UK, Europe, Canada, and the USA, with many major cities given the opportunity to enjoy it. Currently, tickets to the show can be grabbed from Fever, which is offering General Admission for those aged 12 and up from £26 (plus a £1.90 booking fee).
Visitors should keep in mind that prices for the Friday and Saturday event are slightly more at £37.90 plus a £1.90 booking fee. Those who do want to visit should act fast, though, as Fever has warned that tickets are selling fast.
The spokesperson for Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and Fever events stated: "Audiences can also enjoy a celebratory pre-show atmosphere, including food and beverage offerings, and Harry Potter merchandise. With limited tickets available, fans can join the waiting list via the Fever app and website to secure early access to upcoming dates."
If you would prefer a family day out with something more interactive, you could opt for the Beyond The Surface Tour at SEA LIFE Manchester, with tickets available from as low as £10.50 for a child and £13 for an adult. This tour provides an opportunity to catch a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of aquariums and even includes visits to areas usually off-limits.
Or, if you prefer something more theatric, you could opt to watch The Rocky Horror Show at the Palace Theatre, which is running until Saturday, August 1. This stage show of the iconic play will include many hallmarks associated with the musical, including camp outfits and large musical numbers with tickets going for as low as £26.
Those who have previously seen the DroneArt Show praised it for its performance, with reviewers for its previous Harry Potteer at The Great Lawn writing: "Fantastic experience! My wife, our two kids, and I had an amazing time at the Harry Potter drone show by Fever tonight. The drone effects, music, and atmosphere were truly magical, and the kids were completely captivated. Such a fun and memorable family night — highly recommend for any Harry Potter fan!"
Another added: "It was magical, no matter if your 5 or 80 this show is for all ages. Would recommend to anyone. Surprised my husband for the second time and he loved it."
A third said: "It was very well done. The drones were actually pretty cool. The images were done well."
A fourth added: "It was such a great show, better than expected." While a fifth said: "I loved it! Can't wait for all kinds of different shows! We'll timed and well done!"
A sixthh added: "Weather was perfect. The complimentary light wristbands were a sweet suprise. It was a spectacular time!"
However, one other customer noted: "I loved it!!!! Maybe let us know before if we can leave and reenter but. Fabulous show!!!"
Visitors should also note that a potential downside is the starting time of the show. While doors open at 7pm, the show itself doesn't start until 9 pm, which may be a bit too late for some younger kids.
