NBA mock draft roundup: Looking at some of Sixers' options with 22nd pick

Дата публикации: 20-05-2026 16:11:02

While the composition of the Sixers’ front office is up in the air, the team knows it’s slated to pick 22nd in Round 1 of the NBA draft on June 23.
That’s a major item on the agenda for Bob Myers, who’s running the Sixers’ front office in the interim while searching for Daryl Morey’s replacement.
“I think there are some positives and there are some things that are challenges that we have to work through,” Myers said at a press conference last week. “But all of it has to be evaluated, starting with now we have the 22nd pick in the draft. We have to get that right. And there’s free agency, and then there’s an offseason program. All those things matter to get us to where we want to go.”
Here’s a roundup of recent mock drafts with a look at what the Sixers might do at No. 22:
The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie
Amari Allen, Alabama
Vecenie: “Allen is a terrific Swiss Army knife wing who excites scouts, even though it might make more sense for him to return to school. … Like a younger Josh Hart, he does a little bit of everything without truly excelling in an area outside of rebounding. But NBA teams are always looking for wings who can dribble, pass and shoot while providing at least solid size on the defensive end.”
Allen was indeed a strong rebounder in his freshman year, grabbing 9.8 boards per 40 minutes. The Sixers have been one of the NBA’s weakest defensive rebounding teams in each of the last three seasons under head coach Nick Nurse.
ESPN’s Jeremy Woo
Allen Graves, Santa Clara
Woo: “Graves measured well for a power forward and looked to be in solid shape, but he wasn’t helped by the other elements of the combine, looking like one of the less athletic players in testing. His proponents around the NBA rave about his defensive instincts and feel, and his projection as a long-term NBA player is backed up strongly by analytic models. It remains to be seen where that will leave Graves with a week to make a final decision, with plenty of interest from teams in the first round, but also lucrative options in the transfer portal, with LSU considered to be the frontrunner if he returns to college.”
The early-entrant withdrawal deadline is next Wednesday, May 27 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Graves came in at nearly 6-foot-8 without shoes and 226 pounds at the combine. He was a bench player as a freshman but quite productive in several areas, averaging 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.9 steals in 22.6 minutes per game. Graves also shot 41.3 percent from three-point range.
The Ringer’s J. Kyle Mann
Joshua Jefferson, Iowa State
Mann: “There’s an argument to be made that the 6-foot-9, 240-pound Jefferson is the best passer in the entire class, regardless of position. … To me, a Jefferson-Philly pairing would be a match made in heaven: His long track record of setting up perimeter scorers fits perfectly with the Sixers’ two incendiary scoring guards. While I do think that he’ll compress into a smaller role than the one he enjoyed at Iowa State, Jefferson’s also no slouch as a scorer himself, and his deflection-heavy defensive approach would feed right into their overall speed advantage.”
Jefferson will turn 23 years old early in his rookie season. He showed off his versatility as an Iowa State senior, posting 16.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
USA Today Sports’ Bryan Kalbrosky
Dailyn Swain, Texas
Kalbrosky: “After transferring from Xavier to Texas during the offseason and then leading his team to the Sweet 16, Dailyn Swain became one of the more intriguing breakout players in college basketball. The All-SEC forward is versatile and contributed a little bit of everything for the Longhorns on both sides of the ball, scoring well both in the paint and on fast breaks. … While he has three years of college experience, at 20 years old, he is the same age as a few NCAA freshmen. Swain told reporters he is “two feet in” about turning pro and decided to withdraw from the second day of pre-draft scrimmages.”
Swain’s got good size for an NBA wing at 6-foot-6.5 without shoes, 211 pounds and a 6-10 wingspan. He tallied 17.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game last season for the Longhorns.
Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman
Chris Cenac Jr., Houston
Wasserman: “Despite flaws in Chris Cenac’s statistical profile, there will be teams willing to bet on a 19-year-old with his 6’10” (barefoot) size, 7’5″ wingspan, 240-pound frame, shooting confidence and motor. He’ll be a popular reach candidate for teams looking to fill gaps that aren’t concerned with finding high-upside scorers.”
NBC Sports’ Raphielle Johnson and Kurt Helin
Chris Cenac Jr., Houston
Johnson: “Behind Joel Embiid, the pickings were slim for the 76ers at the center position this season. Andre Drummond and Adem Bona logged rotation minutes, but neither was a consistent difference-maker, especially when Embiid was unavailable. Cenac will need some time to develop, but he’s an athletic frontcourt player who improved throughout his lone season at Houston.”
The Sixers took a big man early in last year’s second round, drafting Johni Broome at No. 35. Broome suffered a right knee lateral meniscus tear in February and rarely played at the NBA level as a rookie.
CBS Sports’ Cameron Salerno
Isaiah Evans, Duke
Salerno: “Evans went from almost strictly a pure catch-and-shoot 3-point specialist at Duke during his freshman year to a legit No. 2 scoring option on the No. 1 overall seed in college basketball. Evans almost doubled the amount of 3-pointers he took from this year to last and still knocked them down at a 36.1% clip. He will be a Day 1 pick somewhere in the 20s.”
The 6-foot-6 Evans shined in Duke’s Sweet 16 win over St. John’s, scoring 25 points on 10-for-15 shooting (4 for 8 from three-point range). It doesn’t look like he’ll be bashful at all about firing up jumpers in the NBA.
