Corridos del Rey has signed a management deal with VHR Music, Billboard can exclusively announce on Friday (July 24). 

The Colombian newcomer — who hides his identity with a mask and Tejana hat and is known for his uplifting, faith-based lyrics powered by corridos music — will be co-managed by his longtime manager Gustavo Ariza and, now, VHR Music CEO Victor Ruiz. Ariza is based in Colombia and Ruiz is in the U.S.

“What led me to place my trust in Victor was, first of all, the fact that he shared our long-term vision for the project. But beyond that, there was something crucial: the personal character he conveyed from the very start,” Ariza tells Billboard. “He’s someone who inspires trust and speaks calmly and transparently, without the unbridled ambition sometimes found in this industry. We felt he genuinely wanted to build a solid project alongside us.”

Ruiz, a former Billboard Latin Power Player, previously managed Grupo Frontera, taking the Texas-based group from a local band to a música mexicana global force. He also discovered and developed the career of Hermanos Espinoza, Billboard’s Latin Up and Comer of the Month in April. 

“My best advice has always been to enjoy what you do. When you work with passion and from the heart, the effort stops feeling like an obligation and becomes part of your purpose,” Ruiz says of the best advice he’s offered his artists. “I also tell them that this business can be complicated and that trust isn’t earned overnight. But when you find people with whom you can build a genuine friendship and a relationship based on loyalty, cherish them and hold on tight, because those are the relationships that sustain a long-term career.”

“What motivates me the most is knowing they are visionaries with great experience in the industry, which is extremely important to avoid mistakes on this new path,” adds Corridos del Rey. “I hope to learn and grow in the business realm too; sometimes we artists think it’s just about making music or singing well, when being a complete artist involves knowing much more about how the music industry is managed.”

The co-management deal comes on the heels of Corridos del Rey’s ultra-viral track “Ayer Hablé con Diós,” which has generated more than five million video creations on TikTok and over 19 million views on YouTube since its release in April. Its remix with Farruko, released in June, ranked No. 2 on Billboard’s Best Latin Songs of 2026 midyear list. 

“Our goal is to capitalize on this great momentum to build a solid, lasting career,” Ruiz adds. “We want to establish Corridos del Rey as a major figure in Latin music, expanding his reach into new markets and exploring different genres — all without losing the essence that brought him to this point. What lies ahead involves hard work, new music, and steady growth.”
