In Reply We thank Wolde Sellasie et al for their careful reading of our study examining surgical approaches for sporadic medullary thyroid cancer. They raise important methodological considerations, including variation in the definition of surgical procedures, differences in baseline risk between groups, and uncertainty in the interpretation of biochemical outcomes. These concerns reflect limitations of systematic reviews, particularly the absence of individual patient–level information. In this reply, we clarify how these issues were handled in our study.
