As if we needed another clue.
NBC New York spotted a New York Police Department officer standing outside Madison Square Garden Thursday with a folder reading, “Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce wedding.” It’s dated Thursday, July 2, which is the couple’s rumored rehearsal dinner.
News 4 captured a photo of an NYPD officer wielding a ‘Taylor Swift’ wedding folder outside MSG.
It’s not clear if the folder genuinely includes details of the wedding. Maybe it’s a farce?
Speculation about the superstar singer and football player’s nuptials has built to a frenzy in recent days, following weeks of unconfirmed reports that it would take place over July Fourth weekend at one of New York’s iconic landmarks. NBC News confirmed a day ago that this is indeed the case.
Here’s another view of the folder.
The city hasn’t shared many details.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said on Wednesday that a permit had been filed for a “large event” at Madison Square Garden. The permit also requests a tent and street closures around the Garden. The Mamdani administration declined to say who filed the permit.
The officer was spotted holding the folder outside Madison Square Garden Thursday morning.
“We are fully prepared,” he added. “There isn’t anything to share beyond that.”
New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said police “will of course have a detail in place,” but also declined to go into further detail.
Here’s everything we know about the upcoming nuptials:

Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce MSG wedding details: What we know and don't know
The celebrations are set to happen over a two-day span beginning Thursday night, for a smaller group of 100 people.
A law enforcement official briefed on the security plans told the Associated Press that event will be the rehearsal dinner. The official spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss the events.
Then there will be a larger celebration for 1,100 attendees Friday night, according to a source at Madison Square Garden.
Crews have been seen this week unloading equipment from trucks outside the Manhattan arena. A large carpet was briefly unveiled outside one entrance and then promptly removed.
A source with knowledge of the matter, who is among the invitees, told NBC News in late June that invitees were sent non-disclosure agreements along with electronic invitations. The person also said multiple performances are expected from various artists.
Nothing has been publicly confirmed by the couple.
What isn’t known so far? Plenty.
The guest list is still something of a mystery, though there have been a few big celebrity names mentioned as possible or likely attendees. Same goes for possible performances, where names like Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw are rumored to be taking the stage.
It is also not known if the wedding ceremony itself will take place at MSG, or if the vows will be exchanged elsewhere and the arena is where the reception will be held.
When asked over the weekend, some workers at MSG said they were working “the event” while not sharing more information, while others said they would not be working.
