The University of Alabama is always looking to upgrade the fan experience in Bryant-Denny Stadium, and their latest advancement is going to help cut down on long fans will be standing in line waiting for concessions.

According to WVUA 23, this past weekend’s game against Tennessee for the Third Saturday in October — likely the biggest home game for Alabama this season — saw the debut of a new aspect of the UA gameday app which was a live wait time, telling fans who are in their seats in real time how long lines were for food or drink.

The wait time is the first of its kind in the SEC, and part of a series of rollouts to the fan experience this season including improved WiFi inside the stadium.

“We’re just trying to do things to improve the fan experience,” AD Greg Byrne said via WVUA. “It also gives us feedback from an efficiency stand point to see what stands are moving the best, are there adjustments we can make to help out in the process.”

Fans who may be attending a game for the rest of the season and want a chance to use the new feature can download the UA Gameday app and begin utilizing it at the next home game two weeks from now against the LSU Tigers.
