Community members are invited to attend the District 3 School Board Candidate Forum on Monday, July 20 at Hixson High School, providing residents with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates seeking to represent District 3 on the Hamilton County Board of Education. The forum will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. at Hixson High School’s Little Theatre.

Officials said, "The forum is proudly hosted by the Hixson High School National Honor Society in partnership with Hixson High School's PTSA as part of their shared commitment to promoting civic engagement, informed voting, and meaningful community dialogue. 

"The candidate forum will offer attendees the opportunity to learn more about each candidate's 
vision, priorities and perspectives on issues impacting students, families, educators and the 
future of public education in Hamilton County. 

"The event is designed to provide a respectful, informative setting where voters can become better informed before casting their ballots.  

"To ensure a fair and relevant forum, questions submitted via email to rimback_j@hcde.org or 
written on-site by attendees and collected by students will be vetted by a screening committee 
for the moderator based on non-personal, non-duplicate topics directly relevant to all school 
board candidates.

"This forum reflects our commitment to developing informed citizens while strengthening the 
partnership between our school and the community.

We encourage all District 3 residents to attend and participate in this important civic opportunity."
