Members of the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) are anticipated to receive interest in their provident fund accounts for FY 2025–2026 (FY 25-26) today (Wednesday, July 15, 2026). Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had recently said that the EPFO would process interest payments for about 34 crore member accounts soon. He had said that the revised balance after receiving interest would be accessible by July 15, 2026, in EPF accounts of many EPFO subscribers.

The Finance Ministry had also confirmed that EPFO subscribers would get an 8.25% interest rate on their EPF contributions for the Financial Year 2025-26.

Whenever the EPFO credits EPF interest, it reflects in your EPF balance. Subscribers can check their EPF balance through:

• EPFO member e-Sewa portal
• Missed call service
• SMS service

They can also access Passbook Lite on the EPFO Member Passbook portal for a quick account summary.

To check your EPF balance via your phone, simply download the UMANG app from the Google Play Store or App Store. After installing the same, log in and link your Universal Account Number (UAN) to access EPFO services.
Once linked, you can easily view your PF balance, track contributions, and even raise claims via the UMANG app. Users can also take a summarised glance at transactions done in their pension account of PF for the last 3 months, and the rest can be downloaded as a PDF.
