KZ106 and The Loper Show announce the return of the annual Christmas in July Toy Drive, benefiting the Forgotten Child Fund, with the goal of "bringing joy to children and families throughout the Tennessee Valley this holiday season."

The month-long community toy drive officially kicks off today and runs through July 31, encouraging residents to donate new, unwrapped toys at convenient drop-off locations across the city.

This year’s campaign is presented by 5090 South The Furniture Store, with additional support from Parkway RV Center, Epikos (Northgate Mall) and Crossroads Auto Sales.

"In addition to sponsor locations, donations can also be dropped off at all 22 Chattanooga Fire Department stations, making it easier than ever for the community to participate," officials said.
"The toy drive will conclude with a special all-day live broadcast on Friday, July 31 from 5090 South The Furniture Store, where listeners, sponsors and community members will celebrate another successful year of giving back.

"While this is the first Christmas in July campaign for The Loper Show in Chattanooga, the tradition has impacted communities across the country.

Over the past two decades, Loper has organized toy drives in multiple radio markets, including KHTB Salt Lake City, WZBH Ocean City, Maryland, WFLY Albany, New York, WPBZ West Palm Beach/Boca Raton, Florida, WNRQ Nashville, Tennessee, and for more than a decade at WRKZ in Columbus, Ohio, where the annual toy drive benefited Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Today, that tradition continues with a renewed focus on serving the children and families of the Tennessee Valley."

“Christmas in July has always been about bringing a community together for one purpose - making sure every child has something to smile about during the holidays,” said Jeremy “Loper” Loper, host of The Loper Show on KZ106. “I’ve been fortunate to watch this tradition grow in cities across the country, but now it’s Chattanooga’s turn. This is home, and we’re committed to making a lasting impact right here in the Tennessee Valley.”

"The Forgotten Child Fund has served local families for decades by providing toys and gifts to children during the holiday season. Every donation - large or small - helps ensure more children experience the joy of Christmas," officials said.
