The Andy Bropleh Jallah Foundation has officially launched the fifth cycle of its three-month Literacy Kids Reading Program, bringing together children from across Montserrado County Electoral District #13 for intensive learning in reading, spelling, and pronunciation.

The foundation stated that the initiative is intended to promote education and strengthen childhood literacy in the district. At the launch, Program Director Victoria Neufville described the program as an intervention aimed at improving children's literacy skills and building a culture of learning among young participants.

Neufville said that, unlike previous editions that focused mainly on classroom instruction, this year's program will also include a series of extracurricular activities to give participants broader educational exposure.

According to her, the off-curriculum activities are designed to deepen children's understanding through practical learning experiences. "The off-curriculum activities will encourage children to apply knowledge beyond the classroom while enhancing their confidence and critical thinking skills," she said.

She emphasized that while classroom instruction remains central to literacy development, combining it with experiential learning creates a more effective and engaging environment for children.

The Program Director said the Foundation remains committed to investing in children's education and said the initiative is expected to improve literacy and academic performance among young learners in District 13.

The Literacy Kids Reading Program has reached hundreds of children since its inception, providing tools to improve reading comprehension, communication, and academic confidence.

The Foundation says it will continue to expand the program to ensure more children in District #13 have access to quality literacy support outside of regular school hours.
