I just bought a G14 as an upgrade, but as a non-gamer, the benefits (except the pretty nice OLED screen) don't seem that significant for my primary uses - cloud business work, watching content - so I'm wondering if the upgrade is still worthwhile in a future-proofing sense.There's nothing wrong with my Surface Laptop 4, but I'd been thinking about an upgrade because of it's age, the tub incident, and how reliant I am on my laptop (I use it all day every day). Then when I was researching upgrade options, the 2024 Zephyrus G14 was hitting out of the park in youtube reviews, and I found one at Best Buy open box for 40% off (my Surface Laptop 4 was also open box) so I grabbed it, and it's great and all, but the gaming stuff isn't of interest to me, and I'm left wondering if I should just stick with my Surface Laptop 4/ save some $'s, or if it's 4 year-old specs mean it will only become increasingly long in the tooth and/ or the tub incident in October (trackpad + some keyboard briefly immersed, case removed and dried outside overnight/ no issues since) is reasonable risk factor, and scoring a 1 year-old $1600 G14 for $975 is a worthwhile upgrade.
