Television personality, restaurateur and James Beard Award-winning chef Roy Choi joined approximately 30 Target team members during a recent volunteer event at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, where participants packed food boxes for families across Los Angeles County.

During the event, Target presented the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank with a $100,000 donation to support the organization’s efforts to address food insecurity throughout the county.

Choi, a Southern California native, has supported the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank for more than a decade. He recently partnered with Target on the limited-time Good & Gather Collabs + Roy Choi collection.

According to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, the organization distributed an estimated 129 million meals last year and serves nearly 1.1 million people each month.
