TMS Booking API - Updating Reccurring Conferences

Problem: Trying to update conference bandwidth on all conferences from 512kpbs to 6000kbps. Unable to make bulk change via the GUI, so the Booking API is the only way to go.
I am attempting to write a python script that will pull the conferences details using 'GetConfrenceById', then editing the SOAP body to reflect the new bandwidth setting. When I attempt to save the conference by using 'SaveConference', the conference instance that I am updating is deleted and the recurrence for the remaining instances is updated and extended out.
If I use 'SaveConferenceRecInstance', I get and error stating that Conference exceptions cannot be recurrent. I have tried pulling the details using 'GetRecurrentConferenceById', then using 'SaveConferenceRecInstance', but I am getting the same error.
Anyone have an idea as to what the error means, and how to fix it? Or maybe a better way to accomplish what needs to be done?
 
TMS Version is 15.9
