On the occasion of Eid al-Mab'ath, the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and the Eids of the months of Sha'ban, Imam Khamenei agreed to the suggestion of the Head of the Judiciary for the pardon or reduction in sentence of more than 3000 eligible convicts.

In the letter of the Head of the Judiciary, a permission to pardon, reduce or convert the sentences of 3,126 eligible convicts who were convicted in Public Courts, Revolutionary Courts, and the Judiciary Courts of the Armed Forces, and the State Discretionary Punishment Organization was requested.
