Fox News host Sean Hannity has announced he is battling two health problems after leaving viewers concerned over his 'puffy face.' The conservative media presenter, 64, appeared bloated during broadcasting duties earlier this week, which prompted an outpouring of alarm from those watching. Addressing his unusual appearance in a statement shared online, Hannity said that he has been dealing with a 'painful' pinched nerve in his neck. He added that his treatment medication had caused laryngitis and puffiness. 'Thanks to everyone who has checked in,' Hannity said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

'I've already addressed this several times on my radio show, but while training, I developed a painful pinched nerve in my neck.' Hannity explained that his doctor had prescribed the medication prednisone to reduce inflammation. He noted that while it's helping, it has led to laryngitis and some puffiness, which he said 'is normal for this medication.' 'I'm fine, recovering well, and still training, but apparently a few weeks of prednisone has generated more social media commentary than 30 years of ratings success,' he added. 'I appreciate all the concern and well wishes - including from members of the left-wing media.

'Sorry to disappoint them, but a pinched nerve, a raspy voice and a puffy face aren't taking me out anytime soon.' Laryngitis is a type of swelling that affects the voice box, which is medically referred to as the larynx. The larynx can become inflamed from overuse, irritation or infection. A pinched nerve occurs when too much pressure is applied to a nerve by surrounding tissues, such as bones, cartilage, muscles or tendons. This pressure can cause pain, tingling, numbness or weakness.

Earlier in the week, social media users had voiced their concern over Hannity's transformed visage. 'What the hell happened to his face?' one asked on X. Another posted: 'Hannity isn't looking good. Is he sick?' 'Why is he so puffy?' continued a third. 'Did he get stung by an entire beehive?' Speaking about his health previously on his radio show, Hannity said his doctor had diagnosed him with a bad sinus infection which had led to laryngitis. He said: 'I didn't wanna take this crappy medicine called prednisone, and so he just said to ride it out, don't worry about it, you're not hurting your vocal cords at all.'
